    Washington, DC--

    U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released a Fact Sheet on FY2023 trade highlights, which includes 1 Billion low value shipments under 19 U.S.C. Section 1321.  CBP states that shipments processed as Entry Type 86 (i.e., de minimis shipments subject to Participating Government Agency data requirements) saved CBP and the trade community $3 Billion in time and costs.  This is the first estimate of efficiencies resulting from low value shipments, many of which represent direct-to-consumer e-commerce sales.
